A Winter Walk
2021 saw us move house, out from York to Easingwold. In the November, we have not been there long and were still exploring the surrounding area. One Saturday morning we got up to be greeted by bitterly cold temperatures but brilliant sunshine. We decided to make the most of it and get out and do some exploring. Whilst walking round the football ground, James found some massive sheets of ice. To this day, he has fascination with breaking ice. He had great fun jumping up and down to smash it, that and picking up and throwing it.
Even Lyns got in on the act, never too old!
After smashing every icy puddle we could find, we continued exploring. At this point, all routes were new to us. One of the benefits we had not thought of when we moved was that we are no more than five mins away from green fields, and there are lots of lovely walks around us. Known to us now as the walk with the ponies, we left the football ground and continued our exploration. and yes, you guessed it, yet more ice was broken!
