Find the Treasure
It has been a little while since I posted anything on here. Life has turned very busy and I have not really had time to sit down and write. We have been up to all sorts of things though. A few weekends back now, we had a family day out to Nostell Priory. This is a National Trust property near Wakefield. Even if you do not go into the property though, the surrounding grounds are massive and all free to look round, parking is £7 for the day though if you are not a National Trust member.
After we had had a cup of coffee and our lunch, we explored the play area. It was massive with so many different things for the little man to play on. He was in his element. It culminated in a zip line which he loved, all apart though from dragging it back to the start, this was Daddy’s job.
One of the reasons we had come here was that they have geocaches in the grounds. This is something I had never done but I thought James might enjoy. I tapped the map reference into my old GPS and we set off to find the caches. James was in his element following the arrow and we found about six of the different caches that were hidden. We walked about three miles all in and James did not complain once.
After we found the first cache we went into the woods. It was set up for den building and we spent a good half an hour building different dens in the woods.
We all had a lovely day. We drank lots of cups of tea, found treasure and had lots of fun in the process. What more could we ask for on a family day out!
