A Playpark by the Lake
A couple of weeks ago Lyns and I finally made our way to Castle Howard. Having lived in York for about fifteen years, it is one place we have never been. We had been told that the adventure playground had been redone so even more reason to visit. We had friends to stay the night before and had a few drinks so it was a leisurely start to the day. We got the Castle Howard about midday and of course first things first, lunch.
After we had enjoyed a tasty lunch, we jumped on the tractor to take us to the play area. The boys were really excited and it turned out justifiably so. The play park was immense. It was set over a huge area and there were all sorts of things to do. There were mini climbing walls, several slides, tunnels and so on. The boys were in their element.
After the play park we had a couple of hours before closing time to explore before the grounds closed for the evening. We took a walk through the woodlands before exploring the ornamental gardens behind the house.
After a lovely evening and day out, time to say good bye came round far too quickly, as always. I think we will definitely be back and next time make a full day of it.
